Who We Are
We are a group of young Christians who are not only passionate about our King, but about our generation. Each of us come from various backgrounds and as we grew to know each other we came to the realisation that the Kingdom of God is made up of people from diverse walks of life. As a result, we feel that each person is uniquely positioned to bring something special to their fellow believers and the body of Christ.
We have a passion for young people and believe that God is calling each person in his Church to reach out to them. We come from the Millennial generation, and have found that there are many our age who have questions (ourselves included), about the meaning and purpose of life, their identity and the identity of God. Through personal experience and through testimony of others we have seen first hand that where the Church fails to offer answers to these questions, the world is more than willing to provide them, and most often the world’s response removes God from the picture. We are told as believers to ‘be prepared to give an answer for the hope you have’ (1 Peter 3:15) and it is our diligent prayer that through this site God would equip all of us to answer those who are seeking. With this project, we too are on a mission to find the answers!
We believe that our journey in life is enriched when it involves others, and shouldn’t be done in isolation (Fellowship) and when we come together in unity, we have more influence (Collective). From this, we birthed the vision of The Fellowship Collective a vision that hopes to see every part of the body of Christ, each of us as individuals, express what it is God is speaking to and through us, and to fulfil the unique role and calling that He has placed on our lives. Not only do we want to grow in our own faith, and help build unity in the Church, but we want to see more and more people come to know Jesus Christ and the great sacrifice He made because of His Love for us. Together let us not only make but become disciples and fulfil the Great Commission.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, to be the Word of God. We believe the scriptures are inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error in their original writings and as such they are authoritative in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe in one eternal God, who is the Creator of all things, existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally benevolent, omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient.
The Lord Jesus Christ:
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God in humility and obedience became a man through His incarnation. He is fully God and fully human, one Person, indivisible with two natures.
We believe in His virgin conception via the Holy Spirit, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension and in His eventual return. In His mediatory work as King, He is seated at the right hand of God the Father, He is our High Priest and Advocate, interceding on our behalf. We believe He will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and establish his reign forever in the New Heaven and New Earth.
We believe that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved than by the name of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and that nobody can be reconciled to the Father except through the acceptance of the work of Christ on the Cross and His Resurrection and the declaration and confession that Jesus is Lord.
The Holy Spirit:
We believe salvation, as described in the Scriptures is followed by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in each believer. The Holy Spirit glorifies and testifies to the Lord Jesus Christ. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgement, and by his powerful and mysterious work regenerates spiritually dead sinners, awakening them to repentance and faith. He empowers and guides them in their walk with God and equips the Church with spiritual gifts, administering them to each individual according to his will.
